This is my third year teaching music at Reedy Creek, but my fourth year as part of the Reedy Creek Family. I attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Go Heels!) from 2008 to 2013. I spent the first four years studying music and women’s studies, and spent my fifth year completing a certificate program to receive my teaching license in K-12 music education. While all grades have positive aspects, I always knew that I wanted to teach elementary music. I completed my official student teaching placement at Reedy Creek in the spring of 2013.
Prior to attending UNC, I was born and raised in New York City; the daughter to two musician parents. It’s safe to say that I was born musical. There is nothing that I enjoy more than attending a Broadway show or choral concert. My instrument is voice, but growing up, I dabbled in the cello and piano as well.
I currently live in Apex with my husband and two super fluffy kitties. Their names are Dr. Gre and Fairy Princess. I spend my free time doing Pure Barre, baking cookies and cakes, singing in the shower, and going hiking. My favorite compliment is that I look like Taylor Swift (-:
